Colorado Springs Startup Week is a week-long celebration of innovation, entrepreneurialism, and the creative spaces and places that make up the Colorado Springs startup ecosystem.

Startup Week is a collective demonstration of Colorado Springs’ COMMITMENT to ENTREPRENEURIALISM, INCLUSIVITY, and STARTUP SUPPORT to all participants that experience the week.

Everyone who participates will LEARN something that BENEFITS their business or them personally. Participants will have the opportunity to CONNECT with others, and participate in SHOWCASING OUR COMMUNITY as an emerging startup market not to be ignored.

Duane Dick is a Senior Partner and Co-Founder of Sand Cherry Associates, an award-winning consulting firm that supports the top companies in cable, broadband, wireless, and media. Duane began his cable career as a newly-minted MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and eventually headed the Market Strategy Development group for both MediaOne and AT&T Broadband (now Comcast). Sand Cherry is well-known for its leadership in the launch of the industry’s most ground-breaking products including broadband Internet, digital and HDTV, wireless services, and gigabit and fiber-based services for residential and business customers. Sand Cherry twice received industry innovation awards from CTAM, was selected as a Colorado Top 50 Company to Watch and was the WICT Rocky Mountain Chapter’s Industry Partner of the Year.

Duane has been a thought leader and active force in the industry’s key marketing and diversity associations. He served as the Co-Chair of CTAM’s Chapter Committee, as Board Member of CTAM Europe, as President of the award-winning CTAM Rocky Mountains Chapter, and was a founding Board Member of the Rocky Mountain Cable Association. Sand Cherry has been recognized for its continuing contributions and leadership to the WICT Rocky Mountain Chapter.

He and wife Michelle, both military veterans, support the Wounded Warrior Project and other veteran organizations. Additionally, they are patrons and annual sponsors of the internationally-acclaimed Colorado Springs Youth Symphony.
